Cugat dragged the brunette with brown eyes up to New York, where she was signed with Columbia at the age of 42 in. She was in Tex Ritter's Vengeance of the West and Alias, Boston Blackie starring Chester Morris. After a few years of being signed to Republic Studios she turned into an exquisite platinum blonde pin-up. The actress was busy in senorita roles, mostly opposite Roy Rogers as in Bells of Rosarita (both 1945) as well as Gene Autry as in Twilight on the Rio Grande.
